JON JASHNI

Jon Jashni is a media investor, advisor and content executive who operates through his investment fund Raintree Ventures. He is currently a Founding Advisor to each of Influence Media, a music and media fund, and Sreda Global, the leading Russian TV studio. Jashni also serves as a strategic advisor to such entities as Mass Appeal, Bonfire Game Studios, Prettybird, Dragonfire, Prometheus Entertainment and Wevr. He also operates Synthesis Entertainment, in an alliance with Legendary Entertainment, through which he has produced three seasons of the successful Netflix series LOST IN SPACE as well as a film adaptation of the A&E hit series ANCIENT ALIENS. In 2018, Jashni was nominated for a Tony as a producer of the reimagined Broadway musical Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CAROUSEL. Over the course of his career, Jashni has been associated with the creation and monetization of content that has generated over $7 billion in gross revenue.
 
Previously, Jashni was Co-Founder, President and Chief Creative Officer of Legendary Entertainment from its 2006 inception until its 2016 multibillion-dollar sale to Wanda Group. During his 10-year tenure at the company he was integral to establishing and evolving the company into a leading, diversified, multi-platform media company.

Prior to joining Legendary, Jashni was President of Hyde Park Entertainment, a production and financing company which was allied with 20th Century Fox, Disney and MGM. Before joining Hyde Park, Jashni was a senior production executive at 20th Century Fox and was earlier partnered with media power broker Irving Azoff at the Warner Bros.-based Giant Pictures.

Jashni has served on the Executives Branch Executive Committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is a Trustee Emeritus of the American Film Institute and a strategic advisor to the Producers Guild of America. He holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and a BS in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California.
